Widget Area is now a giant white space

I am using x theme and I am attempting to design some new pages for my site. When I create new pages, Wordpress automatically adds widgets onto my pages. When I go and delete them, it leaves a huge white space where they used to be. I want the content I am adding on my pages to span across the whole page. Pictures below. Please help

Hi Luke,

Thank you for writing in! Instead of deleting the widgets, please use a Blank - No Container | Header, Footer template for your pages.

All Page template that prefix with Blank - has no sidebars, so they are all full width.
