Why is x theme messing up my text spacing?

Hey guys,

X-theme seems to ignore some of the spaces in my text.

I’ve attached a screenshot as an example.

The spaces are present in my Wordpress editor.

But when I hit publish, the two separate words are combined into one!

Any idea !why this happens and how I can fix it?

Thanks for writing to us.

It is not possible to check your issue with only screenshots. I would request you please share the exact page URL so that we can advise you properly. Please make sure you have added proper space between words and you have not added any custom code for the word spacing.

Additionally, I haven’t added any custom code for word spacing as far as I’m aware.

Strangely enough, my issue with word spacing isn’t a common issue across my site. It only happens on a very small minority of posts in a small minority of places!

What do you think could be causing the issue?

Hello Kalam,

I checked your given page URL it seems that you have added custom HTML markup between the text just because the word spacing is not working properly. I would suggest you remove the custom markup( <meta charset="utf-8"> ) from your content to get rid of this issue. Please have a look at the given screenshot in the secure note.

Hey Prakash,

Thanks for the advice. I will do that.

I don’t know how to write code, let alone be able to add custom markup.

This suggests something else is adding the markup code without my permission.

It’s very strange and I’m extremely concerned (since I don’t want to be going through every single post looking for random errors to fix).

Any idea for what could be causing the issue?

Hey Kal,

That is not caused by the theme. The usual cause of that is copying text from an outside source like Word Processor or even a website.

When copying text, make sure it’s pure text. Free of formatting from the source. Press CTRL + SHIFT + V on your keyboard when pasting.
