Why is X not automatically updating?

I spend a lot of time at sea so I’m offline. I’ve just got connection once more only to find that my X theme is at 6.3.8, so it’s some versions old. This is under the Automatic Update section, so why has X not updated?

Thanks for reaching out.

That’s part of Wordpress default standard, and it requires your consent to continue with update installation like clicking the update button or link. The automatic update is the only referring to the automatic installation of the update at least for Wordpress. You still need to initiate it and Wordpress will do the rest automatically (automatic update).
