instead of showing the mobile version this shrinks into oblivion on mobile, how can we fix it?

Thanks for writing in. It’s because of this static spaces

#grid-288 {
    margin-bottom: 150px;
    margin-left: 200px;
    margin-right: 200px;
}

You should remove that, even if you resize your browser, the spaces remain 400px (200px both side). Hence, if your device has 767px width and viewed it, 767px - 400px = 367px, that’s the remaining space where your grid could render.

If you just wish to center your grid, then use max width. Example,

#grid-288 {
    margin-bottom: 150px;
    max-width: 1024px;
    margin: 0 auto;
}
