In Pro I’ve noticed that the new search style in the headers is different. Whilst before X was known for it’s beautiful full page modal search that really stood out, now it’s almost like a half finished soggy biscuit that lacks any real sustenance or rounded corners.
Who would like to see the old style seach box as standard that we remember from the old school X Theme.

I just wanted to chime in here really quick to let you know that there is indeed a search modal element in Pro! 
We have our standard Search Inline element in the builders, which allows you to place a search input directly into the bars of your header (and can be styled at every level from colors to dimensions to fonts, et cetera), and then we also have our Search Modal element, which takes that search input and places it inside of our modal partial, allowing you all the styling controls of the search in the context of a modal (which gives you full styling over the modal itself and the toggle that triggers it open).
Below are a few screenshots I took showing the 4 presets included for this element (they’re slightly narrow vertically as they were taken in the builder, but keep in mind these will cover the entirety of any viewport):
