White border on featured image in certain pixel range? #2

Hey!

Sorry for creating another post on this, but I missed your reply to the frist one (didn’t get an email reminder for som reason).
Anyway, since I could no longer reply in the original post, I have to create a new one. Here’s the original post: White border on featured image in certain pixel range?

So, I tried changing the width of the image element to 100%, as was suggested. It didn’t help unfortunately. I also changed the height to 100% to see if that would make a difference, but it didn’t (and it also made the image stretch and get wring proportions in certain sizes). You can see the separation between the image and the text happening in the attached pics. This is only visible in certain sizes when manually changing the size of the browser window, not on the five breakpoints on the left menu.

So how can I stop this separation between image and text happening? It looks good on all the 5 breakpoints, but not on these “in-between” sizes.

Thanks for your time!

Regards / Magnus

Hi Magnus,

Thanks for reaching out.
I have checked the page in that specific breakpoint in the Cornerstone but didn’t find the Gap shown in your screenshot. Can you please check and let us know if you are still having the same issue?

Thanks

Ok, I’ll check it and get back to u! Thanks!

Hey Magnus,

Great and let us know how it goes.

Hello!

Yes, the problem is still there - when the pixel width goes from 767px to 766px, the separation between the text and the image occurs. Then it slowly shrinks as the window gets smaller and jumps to the proper overlap when going from 615px to 614px.

It’s happening in both Brave and Safari.

Thanks / M

Hi Magnus,

I have checked it in specific breakpoints through the Online Browser Testing tools but didn’t find the issue as described. Can you please mention the device, browser version, and also operating system you are using, that helps us to replicate the issue at our end?

Thanks

Hi!

Ok:
Macbook 12" 2015, OSX 11.6
Brave browser 1.46.144
Safari browser 15.0

Hello Magnus,

I have tested your site in Brave 1.48 and I could not see any white border.

Best Regards.

Hi again!

I’ve now tested it on OSX Ventura 13.2.1, with Brave 1.49.120 and Safari 16.3 and the gap isn’t there any more. Thats good, but peculiar - what could it have been? Too old OS?

Anyway, I’ll continue building and if the issue arrises again I’ll make a new post about it

Thanks for your time!

Regards / M
