Where is Dynamic Content Checkbox for Modal with Video Embed?

I have used the Modal element and added a video embed from Youtube. The video keeps playing in the background after the modal is closed. I see in other threads that I should check the “dynamic content” box but there is no box to check. Where do I find this?

Thank you for writing in, unfortunately, the Dynamic Rendering option is only available on Content Area Modal element which has been deprecated to give way to the new Modal element.

You can still use the Content Area Modal element by enabling it under Pro > Settings > Permissions > Elements, find Content Area Modal, and check its “Show in Library” option. We removed it from the element list as it is no longer the preferred way to work with modals, but the Dynamic Rendering feature is one unique case where the content area modal might still be more useful.

We plan on making that available with the new Modal element but haven’t decided yet how that will work because we are also going to make new Slider elements that will have content considered “offscreen”. Most likely we will add options to the Video and Audio elements to reset when they come into the screen, but we’re going to wait until the Slider is fully developed and we can try a few different ideas first.

Meanwhile, feel free to continue using the Content Area Modal element.
