When I go to object library, it tells me to manually add files. I don’t see any free images in X package. The zip file for slider revolution has no library of images that I can use for slider.

To access the template library you have to purchase a separate license of Revolution Slider plugin.
We don’t include the slider templates to our X/Pro theme.

Yes, but there are free templates. I can’t even get access to those. So What’s the point of having the plug-in included with the theme? When I go to upload free templates, it says to manually add from the X theme package. I didn’t find any there.

The free templates aren’t available on the X Theme. It needs a purchase code for it to work with Revolution Slider as advised by my colleague.
For now, an alternative solution is to download the demo sliders from here: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/4hk8ptker54t21a/AAAZvM6V9wkVyKqYH2HJ94zPa?dl=08
