When you have purchased X Pro, do you need to upgrade the "plain" X theme

Today I received an email alerting “that an update to [my] X | The Theme by THEMECO is now available in [my] Downloads page.” I have purchased X Pro though. Do I still need to update the “plain” X theme? Or will there be a separate special “X Pro” upgrade zip file. I just do not want to somehow break anything by overriding “Pro” files with plain “X” files if there is a meaningful difference between the two.

I also do not know if there is still some sort of dependency of the Pro theme on the original X theme, or if it is totally standalone now and free of that relationship. (By that I mean if there is still a dependency, then that would warrant me keeping the “plain” X theme up to date.)

Or now that I have X Pro, should I be removing the “plain” X theme from my file tree altogether? Thank you.

Thanks for asking.

I see that you have Pro Theme license. If the website in question is using X Theme and you want convert to Pro Theme, then you need to download latest version of Pro Theme installable package and install the same from Appearance > Themes.

There is no dependency between X Theme and Pro Theme. They work as a standalone theme. Once you have installed Pro Theme, you can remove/delete X Theme from the website.
