What is the MAXIMUM Image Size Allowed?

Hi Support,

There’s plenty of info on the Image Element on the forum, but nowhere can I find what the MAXIMUM and PREFERRED Image size should be?

Many of my clients (Medical Imaging Profession) use the same HUGE Computer Screen for looking at digital x-rays and day to day computer activities.

On their looking at my website I don’t want my Images to be too small and not reach fully left to right.

What is the MAXIMUM and PREFERRED Image size I should be looking to upload?

Hi @Good_Usernames_Gone,

Thanks for writing in.

There should be no maximum image size, but I personally recommend a minimum size equal to the width of your layout. Example, you can go to Theme Options > Layout and Design and you can find the max width. If its max-width is 1200 then you may upload an image with the width of greater than or equal to 1200px.

Wordpress will generate images from your uploaded image, so it’s okay to upload any size but it can’t convert a 600px image to 1200px image, hence, larger than 1200px will work.
