What is the easiest way to get hold of an font awesome icon to turn it into an image file

On some of the downloadable design cloud sites and templates the fonts awesome are saved in media as image files when you inspect or download the designs. I would like to do the same thing with a few other icons. Adding them as icons or short-codes in text fields doesn’t let you right click on them and save them as image files. What is the best way to do this please.

Thank you

Hello @LFSdesign,

Thanks for writing in! Our demo sites and templates in DesignCloud were uniquely designed. Some of the images were edited with the image editor to create such nice image designs. If you would like to save the font awesome icon as an image, you would need to convert them. There are a few online converters that you can use online. Kindly check this out:

Best Regards.

Thank you.

You did a good job!

Can this be done with the light versions which are pro? All the regular editable ones are downloadable on awesome fonts website but not the pro ones. I should have clarified that.

Thank you

Hello @LFSdesign,

If you can get access to the Light version of the Font Awesome Pro, then it would be possible.

Cheers.

That was my problem. They are included in the theme but not accessible otherwise. I was trying to find a way to do this through the theme, but just couldn’t figure out a way. It’s possible to use them through the the font icon in a theme but can’t then capture it to turn it into a image.

I probably should have explained my question in a better way.

Thanks.

Hey @LFSdesign,

Regretfully this is outside the scope of our support. Be advised that our support only covers getting your theme set up, bug fixes, and minor cosmetic changes. Anything that goes beyond the features, functionality, and capability of the theme will fall under custom development. You may need to contact a 3rd party developer to do that for you.

Thank you for your understanding.

It’s ok.

I wanted to create 2 images out of 2 icons, to use along with some of the ones you created on a sample template. I had also read that turning the icons into images was the advice given as being necessary on another person’s post on here.

Sometimes actual fonts or images are stored as assets under a theme, so initially I was asking where to look under the hood to find them but I think font awesome are not stored in that way. I don’t need a 3rd party developer, if I needed a lot of the icons, it’s just a license that I would need but I only require 2 to fit in with yours. I’ve figured out a way to do it, it’s a bit long winded but it works, and should be ok as they are available with the theme.

Thanks anyway.
