What internet connection speed for cornerstone?

Hello Pro-Theme,

what minimum internet connection speed do I need to be able to work with cornerstone?
With Vodafone cable I should have a very fast internet connection - download 200 Mbit/s and upload 50 Mbit/s.

When I want to work on my website in the evening or on weekend, cornerstone becomes often very slow or opens not at all. So I have often to finish because working under such conditions is impossible.
So I measured the internet connection speed and found out, that at that times when cornerstone makes problems the download-rate had slowed down from 200 Mbit/s to about 2 - 3 Mbit/s while the upload-rate is almost full speed.

My question now: What minimum download- and upload-rates do I need, to be able to work with cornerstone?

I use Safari 12.1.1 as browser.

Hey Franz,

2-3 Mbps is slow even for normal browsing. The slowest speed I’ve tested that I could work normally is 5 Mbps. That will still depend on how much content you have in the page. If you have heavy images, working with a 5 Mbps connection would be slower than working only with text.

You also would need to factor in the performance of your web host.
