What happened to Cornerstone - not working

Hi Christina,

Could you please try clearing the cache then check again?

If it doesn’t work, please also try testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

Let us know how it goes!

I cannot edit anything. It is not a plugin or cache. I deactivated all and still get

Did you update to the latest version of cornerstone the 2.1.3 version or are you still on the 2.1.2 ? mind you the 2.1.2 cam out on 5th of October and the 2.1.3 came out on the 6th of October ?

Sorry to hear my cornerstone is playing up since the update as well but I am still on the 2.1.2 version I was just going to update but I’m worried that the same thing might happen to me :frowning: are using the Safari browser, have you tried another browser like chrome?

Hi! Any browser and my browsers are not the latest. However, the earlier versions of all my sites work great. It is only this new update.

Yes, with me also.
I have several sites with ThemeX, and the ones I made this last update (6 Oct), cornerstone stoped working (it works sometimes, but very buggy) This last update has major flaws because it’s affecting the entire website.
From this last update I notice in Cornerstone that:

  • Can’t select and move around elements (major problem)
  • Text hyperlinked is gone. The text is still there but the hyperlink is gone
  • Rev. Slider doesn’t display
  • Headings (advanced) are not displaying correctly. (they display as normal text, but works in the live version)
  • etc

I’m not going to update any of my other websites, because I’m afraid of losing more than I want.
Please, solve this asap because it’s affecting a lot of clients (yours and ours)

WOW - a definite issue…not sure how this update made it out before throroughly testing. Too many updates. Everything was working great - why the need for so many updates?

Sorry for the issues you are facing.

There are new updates because thise was a major update, and even after a month with 100+ testers there are new bugs that came up to be fixed.

To revert to a previous version of X and Cornerstone you can download X or Pro from your Apex Dashboard the stability version.

Access your site via FTP remove wp-content/themes -> remove the theme

wp-content/plugins - > remove Cornerstone

Access your site via Dashboard and install the stability version of the theme again.
