What does installing a Design Cloud site do exactly?

Hi, I’ve read several confusing posts/threads about installing and/or uninstalling a Design Cloud site template.

I have a very simple need. I started with the Icon News site template and barely got started. I don’t care about losing any of my info if I have to delete the pages I’ve created. My question is, if I install the Ethos Magazine site template right now, without doing a thing to my existing pages/theme options etc, what will happen? Will I get a homepage with demo content that looks exactly as the Design Cloud site template looks, that I can simply swap out my content with? And I can just delete my old pages whenever I want to?

My goal is to start with the Ethos Magazine site and be able to have it completely loaded with demo content that I can then reverse engineer to include my own content.

Hello David,

Thanks for writing in! Installing the Ethos Magazine site demo on top of the existing Icon News installed demo will just create issues later and give you orphan posts, pages or images. It is best that you reset your WordPress to have a freshly installed WordPress before installing the Ethos Magazine demo. Kindly check out this video:
