What does domain-rep.php do?

WordFence says that this file was malicious. And I backed up my site, and then removed it, and all the malicious redirects identified by GT Metrics and Page Insights went away. So clearly, it was the cause, but I’m just making sure it didn’t break anything I’m not aware of by removing it. It’s possible that a bad extension I downloaded (that I also deleted) hijacked that file and added extra code to it.

Please advise if it was a part of the theme files that shouldn’t have been deleted. And if it shouldn’t have been deleted, can you direct me to a replacement file I can upload free of corruption?

Unfortunately, I can’t answer your question about that file. But yes, I recommend deleting that and that file is not part of X theme.
