Weird problem with Slider Revolution

I have a weird problem with Slider Revolution on my clients website (inner-leadership.ch). When I visit a page of the site the location of the text on the header appears pretty high, but when I leave this page open and go to another tab on my browser and then go back to the page suddenly the text jumps to the middle of the header. I haven’t put any animation on the headers.

What’s going on with that and how can I stop it from doing that?

Best regards,
Michelle

Hi Michelle,

Thank you for writing in, please clear all your caching plugin to rebuild its cache. If the issue persists, please do a Testing for Plugin Conflict.

Cheers!

Hi friech,

I have cleared the cache, I’ve done the plugin conflict test, I have checked if it was the child theme and increased PHP memory to 512 MB. Unfortunately the problem still persists.

Hi Michelle,

In that case, please provide us login credentials in a secure note so we can take a closer look.

Thanks,

Done! Thanks in advance!

Hello Michelle,

Thanks for providing the information. You have this issue because the text will try to adjust itself to the center of the slider scene. Please edit your slider and put both the text and button in a layer group so that the layer group be the one to adjust and not the text or the button. You can then position the layer group to the middle of the scene.

To learn more about how you can insert a Layer Group, kindly check this out:

Meanwhile, you may also set a minimum height for your slider.

Hope this helps.

Hi ruenel,

Perhaps I’m doing something wrong, but I’ve done this for the homepage and the problem still persists. Even after I’ve cleared browser cache.

Hey Michelle,

Though I trust you that you’ve tried testing for a plugin conflict, it actually is hard to investigate this issue with 3rd party plugins active especially optimization plugins like W3 Total Cache.

Please copy your live site to a staging server so we could troubleshoot freely without breaking your site. Give us access like you did for your live site.

Otherwise, please deactivate 3rd party plugins in your live site and switch to the parent theme while we’re investigating the issue.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Hi, I have created a staging site. Details are in the secure note.

Thanks in advance!

Hello Michelle,

I have logged in and edited your slider. I changed your Layout setting and turn ON the respective Layer Area Size. I cleared your plugin caches after I made the changes.

Kindly clear your browser cache or use private browsing mode and test your site again.

Hello ruenel,

I cleared my browser cache and testen with Safari, Chrome and Firefox, but unfortunately the issue still persists. What to do now?

Hi Michelle,

Please go to your Slider general settings , and disable browser focus bevahior by toggling on the option provided in these screenshots

Thanks!

Hi Rad,

I’ve done like you asked and now the text and button doesn’t jump down to the center of the image anymore. However the text and button aren’t centered on the image while I did center the entire group in Slider Revolution. See screenshot:

On the website it looks like this:

Hi @BirdieDesignNL,

I’ve checked your staging area on different browsers and the text and the button is already centered, see screenshot below.

Let us know if the problem still occur on your end.

Thank you.

Hi cramaton,

Unfortunately the problems still persists on my end. I’ve cleared browser cache of course and tried private browsing mode but it’s still not centered.

Strange thing is that when I resize the browser window it then does center, but when I reload the page the text and button are not centered again.

Hi Michelle,

Thank you for the hint. What happening is on initial load the slider has a height of 450px, at that moment the text and button loads and position at the center of that 450px height, but then when the slider fully loads, it resize the slider to 612px, rendering the text and button not vertically center on the slider anymore. I did look around to find where is that 612px coming from, and its group container, so to resolve the issue, I did go ahead and set the group container height to 450px.

Please, keep in mind that this is not an issue with the theme but it’s on the configuration/design of your slider, we won’t be able to provide support further from here. You can always consult the Revolution Slider documentation for more information about the slider configurations and options.

Thanks for your help. I’ve now fixed all headers and sliders.

@BirdieDesignNL,

It’s our pleasure to help you.

Thank you.
