Website won't load pages after PHP version is updated

I have an X/Cornerstone website at https://skrum.org. It has been working well, but WordPress recently insisted that I update the PHP version to at least 8.3. So I did. Now the pages won’t load and I can’t even see them in Cornerstone. I have tried lowerin the PHP update to 8.2, but that has had no effect. I still get this error screen:

I Have staging site, which is running PHP 8.2, using a minimal WordPress site. It is using PHP 8.2, and I can send you the (localhost) URL if you want to check.

How can I get the online site up and running again? Please help me!

Hello @wordsmith7,

Thanks for writing to us.

To help you with your concerns, we need to check your settings. I would request you please share the admin login details meanwhile I would suggest you troubleshoot a few of the common issues before we investigate your settings. Please share your details in a secure note. Please provide the following details

  • WordPress Login URL
  • Admin-level username and password
  • Exact page URLs
  • FTP login details

You can find the Secure Note button at the bottom of your posts

Thanks

Thank you, @prakash_s.
I will work through the common issues, but I think the problem is the result of updating the PHP version on the server (and I have been in touch with them!) NOTHING else has been changed for weeks.
I will attach the details you ask for in a secure note.
Thanks again,
Michael

Hey there,

I checked Cornerstone in your site and it’s working. Please clear your browser cache and/or try using a different browser or incognito mode.

Thank you, I had also consulted the people who run the severs, and spent some time myself deactivating and reactivating plugins and themes (including ‘X’ and Cornerstone). I used 3 of my browsers and cleared the cache in all of them. Suddenly it all started working again. I can’t tell what made the decisive difference, but thank you for your input!

Hi Michael,

Glad that we are able to help you.

Thanks
