Website links not working after server change and caching plugins removal

My web host has just moved my site to a new server, and I also have deactivated and removed some caching plugins. Unfortunately, now no links on my website are working and are just throwing 500 errors.

I did think the problem was in my .htaccess file as the website is installed to a subdirectory, but my redirect rule is still in there. I’ve tried all the usual steps such as disabling all plugins and resaving permalinks, but nothing seems to be working.

My website is at beermoth.co.uk

Any help would be amazing!

Cheers,
Joe

Hi Joe,

Thanks for reaching out.
It seems the problem with the permalink. I would suggest you reset the Permalink to %postname% by selecting any other options available from Settings > Permalinks.
If that does not help, please provide login credentials for your site in a secure note to examine it further, including:

– WordPress Site URL & Login URL
– WordPress Admin username/password

To create a secure note, click the key icon underneath any of your posts.

Thanks

Hey Tristup,

Thanks for your reply! Yeah, I’ve tried that and it’s already on %postname% anyway. I’ll attach securenote now.

Cheers,
Joe

Hi Joe,

I have checked your website permalink settings and the pages are only working with the Plain option. I have also found that the Cornerstone builder is also showing the Internal Server error, I would suggest you contact your Hosting Service provider on this.

Thanks

Hey Tristup,

Thanks for looking for me, unfortunately, I have already contacted my web hosts who haven’t been any help so far!

Cheers,
Joe

Hey Tristup,

Figured it out myself, it was the .htaccess file. The fact the plain rules worked put me onto the correct Google search terms though, so thank you there!

Cheers,
Joe
