Website is just plain broken

So my website is 95thpartyrentals.com on wordpress

I changed the home page by creating a page called home & edited it

I then went to Settings>Reading>A static page>homepage: ‘Home’

I published the ‘Home’ page. Yet it’s still taking you to my host broken page, try it yourself: 95thPartyRentals.com

Now, every time I even try to edit that home page via cornerstone, I get a 404 not found. This now happens to all the pages & cornerstone logo disappeared from left hand bar.

Any help is appreciated

Hi @moeabaker,

It seems that the issue is caused by the mismatch of the site URL and wordpress URL that are assigned in the settings of your site.

Kindy check in Settings > General then make sure that the urls match each other.

If your site is currently in development under, http://95thpartyrentals.com/wp then you can have both url set to it and update it later when you’re ready to launch your site.

Please make sure to keep a backup of your database before making any changes.

Hope this helps.

what must I do so that the 95thpartyrentals.com/wp page is the acutal home page (with the link of 95thpartyrentals.com)?

Hi There,

Please take a look at this article:

Hope it helps

I followed those instructions. They say to move all the wp folders into the public_html folder. Once I do that, I no longer have access to the admin page of 95thpartyrentals.com/wp/wp-admin.

So by moving all the files, I cant even log in to follow the rest of the steps. Is there any files that should remain in the /wp folder so that I can achieve what i want and still be able to log in & view the website?

Please see my response above to what happened when I tried to follow what that article said

Hi @moeabaker,

Since you moved it, the new login or admin URL would be 95thpartyrentals.com/wp-admin and not 95thpartyrentals.com/wp/wp-admin. Please try that, and make sure you update the URL in Admin > Settings > General before moving it, else, it will just redirect to non-existing admin since it’s already moved.

Thanks!

I changed the URl to .com/wp-admin, I then moved all those files to public_html

Now I’m getting this anytime I do anything in Wordpress

Hello @moeabaker,

Please log in to your WordPress dashboard, go to Settings > General and make sure that the site URL and the WordPress address url is the same as the WP dashboard url.

If nothing is working, please give us your WP credentials in a secure now so that we can investigate.

I tried it through a different browser several times and it eventually worked. Thank you all for the help!

Hey There,

That could probably be a browser caching issue. If that happens again, please clear your browser cache or use private browsing mode in testing the site.

Regards.
