Website has Critical Issue

My website zammitelectric.com displayed the message, "“There has been a critical error on this website. Learn more about troubleshooting WordPress.”

The hosting company tried to turn off plugins and the theme on the backend and now it states the message, " Fatal error : Allowed memory size of 536870912 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 8192 bytes) in /home2/zammitel/public_html/wp-includes/script-loader.php on line 1029".

I don’t know how to login but I believe I need to update the theme. I’m not familiar with cpanel and editing those details on the backend and need some help working through it.

Hi Spencer,

Thanks for reaching out.
You are facing a known issue with the WordPress version 6.2 and the previous version of X. I would suggest you update the X after reading the following thread.

Hope it helps.
Thanks

Hi @tristup.

That thread you shared talks about access the Wordpress dashboard but I currently can’t even get into my wordpress website to make those changes.

Is there a way to make these changes through Bluehost directly? I have access to phpMyAdmin but can’t seem to gain access through FTP which is what the thread suggests. I can’t figure out how to remove the theme so I can re-gain access and upload the newest version.

Spencer

Hi Spencer,

You can also delete the existing X through the FTP/CPanel and reupload the latest version by downloading from your Themeco Account. If you don’t have access to those, you can ask your Hosting Service provider for that.

Thanks

Thank you!

I contacted the hosting service and was able to resolve the core issue by rolling it back to an older version of wordpress. I have updated X-Theme and Cornerstone now and can access my Wordpress dashboard once again. I appreciate your help.

You are most welcome, Spencer.
