Website failing to load elements on *only* OSX Mojave Chrome

Hi there,

I’m having a bit of a weird issue here, it’s got me completely stumped. So my client’s website is having issues loading the LayerSlider, WooCommerce slider and Testimonial Slider. Only seems to be the slider, and only on OSX Mojave. I’ve tried it on OSX Yosemite, two different W10 machines, a virtualised copy of Mojave and a virtualised copy of W10 as well. All working fine. Only on OSX Mojave on multiple mac desktops. Cleared cache, disabled cloudflare, enabled google jquery CDN, etc etc, nothing has helped. Remoted into the clients desktop, hard refreshed it, cleared the cache manually etc. Website works fine on OSX Safar / Firefox, just not OSX Chrome. Really not sure where to go from here?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Kind regards,

Hi Keanu,

Thanks for writing in!

I checked your website in iMac with Mojave Chrome.

Found two slider and one layer slider with a static image. The sliders are working fine. Please check this video.

I am not sure exactly what is the expected behavior of the sliders as those are third-party add-ons.
Also, I didn’t find any WooCommerce slider in website, can you please confirm in which page the slider is?
If this is a third-party plugin you can contact the plugin developer for support.

I found the layer slider loading fine.

Thanks

So I found exactly the same thing, but when I did a remote session with my client, none of those sliders were showing. The header one, the testimonials one or the one under “Online resources”. I cleared her cache, bypassed Cloudflare entirely, etc as said above, I spent roughly about 45 minutes on the remote session clearing various things and messing around trying to get it working on her machine. It wouldn’t normally be an issue but she’s getting reports of her clients having the same issue and portions of the site being broken on Mojave Chrome which is obviously less than ideal.

If it helps, I may be able to get her to do a screen recording of it to help show the issue? It’s definetly a weird one. I’m unable to replicate it myself locally which is the worst part.

Kind regards,

Hi Keanu,

Thanks for updating the thread!
We are really sorry for this, but unfortunately, we are not able to replicate the issue so we can’t help you with this.
If possible please contact the plugin developer so that they might have a known issue.

Thanks for understanding.

Turns out it was a plugin on chrome! Not sure why I didn’t think to run the site in Incognito mode. All sorted.

Thank you for your help!

Kind regards,

Glad it’s okay now and thanks for sharing! Cheers!
