Website Down With Fatal Error Due To Theme

Hello, my website, built on X Theme Pro, shows only an error when you try to access my site. I reached out to my hosting provider and they are telling me it’s an issue with the wordpress theme. Can you help me figure out what the issue is and how to resolve it?

Hello @HollenbeckDesignCo,

Thanks for asking.

I checked your website (link in secure note) and can see different error message. https://cloudup.com/cEJDU6B0JIX

Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Class 'SW_EDD_SL_Plugin_Updater' not found in /home2/hollenb2/public_html/nickhollenbeck/wp-content/plugins/social-warfare-pro/social-warfare-pro.php:130 Stack trace: #0 /home2/hollenb2/public_html/nickhollenbeck/wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php(286): swpp_update_checker('') #1 /home2/hollenb2/public_html/nickhollenbeck/wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php(310): WP_Hook->apply_filters(NULL, Array) #2 /home2/hollenb2/public_html/nickhollenbeck/wp-includes/plugin.php(453): WP_Hook->do_action(Array) #3 /home2/hollenb2/public_html/nickhollenbeck/wp-settings.php(327): do_action('plugins_loaded') #4 /home2/hollenb2/public_html/nickhollenbeck/wp-config.php(89): require_once('/home2/hollenb2...') #5 /home2/hollenb2/public_html/nickhollenbeck/wp-load.php(37): require_once('/home2/hollenb2...') #6 /home2/hollenb2/public_html/nickhollenbeck/wp-blog-header.php(13): require_once('/home2/hollenb2...') #7 /home2/hollenb2/public_html/nickhollenbeck/index.php(17): require('/home2/hollenb2...') #8 {main} thrown in /home2/hollenb2/public_html/nickhollenbeck/wp-content/plugins/social-warfare-pro/social-warfare-pro.php on line 130

Using FTP programs like Filezilla, can you please try and delete social warfare pro plugin under /wp-content/plugins/ and then see how it goes.

Here is a tutorial that you can refer to get started with FTP.

Thanks.

Thank you for the quick reply Prasant. I just deleted the plugin but still seem to have the issue. It seems as if their is some issue with cornerstone?

Hello @HollenbeckDesignCo,

Thanks for updating the thread.

I can see that the previous error message s gone now and I can see the error message as you have shared the screenshot. Can you please try reinstalling Pro Theme and see how it goes?

In case you haven’t made core changes in Pro Theme I suggest you to please delete the theme completely from Appearance > Themes. After that please download latest version of Pro Theme from members area and installed from Appearance > Themes > Add New > Upload Theme.

Please let us know how it goes.

Thanks.

@Prasant Will that remove all of the edits that I have made?

Hi,

If you have done the edits in your theme files then it will be removed but if you mean the settings you have made from theme options then those will not be removed as those data are stored in the database.

But as always please do create a full back up of your site before doing this.

Thanks

I did a lot of custom css inside the pro editor css panel. Will that be removed?

Hi there,

It shouldn’t but it would be best to backup everything before you do the changes just in case.

Hope this helps.

Nice! That worked with no apparent data loss! Thanks guys! Your support is awesome.

Glad that we could be of a help
