Website Crash When opening or trying to save on Cornerstone

Everytime I enter Cornerstone to edit the website and I try to save it it loads the bar almost until the end and it gets stuck. Then my server reaches the maximum limit and crashes it. I have the ultime linux web hosting from godaddy. I was instructed b y godaddy this is not a server issue and I dont need to upgrade as this is a code/theme problem.

Please help!

Hey @webintelsolutions,

What domain is having this issue? If there’s no third party plugins and caching system conflicting, this could only be between the server configuration and Pro. If Pro also has a performance problem, it could never run in low cost shared web hosts. But, it does work smoothly.

The server resources might not be the issue here. Even the resources are more than enough since you said you’re in the ultimate plan, it could be that some server configuration (including performance and security config) conflicts with Pro so we need to get to this setup to quickly determine what’s causing the issue.

With that said, would you mind deactivating all your third party plugins, clear all caches and deactivate caching in your site? Please then give us WordPress Admin and FTP access to the affected site. And, URL of the affected page if this is only happening in one page.

Thanks.

I have uploaded the info requested on my previous post secure note.

I notice this issue happens when I try to update/change the headline elements on the page via pro.

Hi There,

I am able to login to your site and try to edit any heading element of pages.
The editor just works fine and I am able to save it.

Please check the screencast video in the secure note.
Hope it also works for you.

Thanks

Hi,

I just tried and it is still not working for me. I created a new page and still was not able to save. Somehow, when I use cornerstone to edit pages etc, the resources on my server get used up and it crashes my server. I already contacted godaddy and they said the issue is on the website code, as I have plenty of resources available.

I am not able to edit my site because of this issue

This issue started after I did the last update.

Hi There,

Niether I can replicate the issue, I was able to edit and saved an element on your page.

Please do the following, open your site in incognito/private mode of your browser where there is no caching and browser add-ons involve.

Then try to edit your page and see if the crashing happens, if not then you’ll know the issue is something on your browser, either caching or one of your browser’s add-on.

Clear your browser’s cache first and see if that resolves the issue.

If not, please do a test. Deactivating all your browser’s addons, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know an addon caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

Let us know how it goes,
Cheers!
