Website Broken after updating Plugins

Hi, I just updated my plugins/website like I do normally, and for some reason, my website is now completely broken (ex: all of the buttons switched colors, my fonts became huge and the text is overlapping/no longer centered, my CSS customizations don’t seem to be applying, and there’s just a million little issues like that). Nothing like this has ever happened before and I’m really in a state of panic trying to revert it back to the way it was.

Can you please take a look and tell me what could have caused all of these issues?

Aside from updating the plugins, I also recently changed my hosting / database password (just in case that somehow caused the issue).

Please advise.

Please do the following first

• Ensure that you are fully up to date. WordPress, Theme, and Cornerstone (Version Compatibility)

• Clear all the site caches (plugin, server-side, CDN, and browser’s cache) so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors.

• Test for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

Thank you for the reply.

I followed your recommendation and it turns out the issue was a plugin called ‘WP-Optimize - Clean, Compress, Cache’.

It is currently deactivated, however, when I try to delete it, I’m receiving this error message: “Deletion failed: There has been a critical error on this website.Learn more about troubleshooting WordPress.”

Do you know how I could resolve this?

Hi @eb1990,

I suggest that you login into your files by using file manager in Cpanel or FTP and locate this folder, wp-content/plugins then find the folder for WP-Optimize - Clean, Compress, Cache, and delete it.
