I was wondering what kind of notifications people use on their site. My question comes after I updated my home page, cleared the cache (WP Rocket) and users still did not see the update on their devices…they have to refresh the browser.
I have researched different notification plugins and wrote a Support Forum post and the best solution for notifications looks like One Signal, specifically for Web Push.
However, I don’t like that people have to opt in and it can only work through the use of Chrome or Firefox.
My question: has anyone heard of a way to change text on a site so that people on the site see it in real time? For example, if I want to change a text element but do not want to rely on the user to refresh their browser.
