Hello,
Before I begin, I just want to say thank you for producing a theme that is obviously built with web accessibility in mind. As accessibility becomes more important with every law passed throughout the world, it’s a relief to know Pro theme makes it easy to address accessibility errors that arise.
With that said, I am curious about accessibility errors with regards to Google Maps. I am currently auditing for and fixing accessibility errors on a client site. There are three Google Maps on the contact page and it is throwing 16 errors with the WAVE tool.
It appears the errors are coming from within the map embed. If this is true, it would seem to point to the errors being on Google’s end, and probably something Theme.co couldn’t address directly through the theme.
I will put the link in a secure note.
Is there anything you can share about how to address these errors or if there are plans to address these errors within the theme itself?
The only thing I can think of is to use screen captures of the maps and place as images, instead of embedding the maps using the maps element, as a work-around.
