I am trying to ensure that the header collapsable menu can be accessed completely via the keyboard and tab navigation. This IS possible, but the problem is that the toggle HTML is before the page content and the off-canvas HTML is after the page content and footer. Most users would not know to tab all the way through the page to access the off-canvas menu links. Is there a way to raise the off canvas HTML above the page content to be part of/next to the main nav?
Hi Quinn,
Thank you for reaching out to us. It could be possible with custom development, but this would be outside the scope of support we can offer. You may wish to consult a developer to assist you with this. X/Pro is quite extensible with child themes, so there are plenty of possibilities.
Thanks for understanding. Take care!
Thanks for your response. I believe this is something Themeco ought to consider well within the scope of support, since this falls within ADA compliance. Since this organization is default, tab navigation is a critical component of WCAG / ADA compliance or sites across the web. Themeco these are used quite widely so this is something that has a large impact. Please advise - looking forward to your response.
Thank you!
Hi Quinn,
Sorry for the confusion, yes we understand the concern about ADA compliance. But for now we cant provide a solution for this, maybe the accesskey attribute,
I’ve submitted this to our issue tracker so the developers will be made aware of it.
Thanks,
