Visual Composer edit page shows blog

When I try to edit (in the frontend mode) a PAGE using Visual Composer it loads the BLOG ?? why??
All other pages work as they should be.
Please help. Thank you

Could you please update to the latest versions?
Our latest versions are:

  • X theme 6.1.3
  • Cornerstone 3.1.3
  • Visual Composer 5.4.7

This latest release contains fixes for several issues so be sure to check out the changelog (http://theme.co/changelog/).

To better assist you with your issue, please provide us WP access so that we can check that out.

Hi @dxdancer,

It’s kind of weird, I copied the same content to my installation and it has no issues. I also checked your site’s other pages and it doesn’t have any issue either. It only happens on this specific page, what’s more weird is, it also display the blog page even if you add a simple ? in its URL like /classes/?. My first thought was permalink conflict, so I switched it to default permalink and yes, it began to work properly. But, when switching to another theme, it works too. But I can’t rule out that this is theme related since it works on my end with the same theme, content, and permalink.

It could be due to cache but I’m not sure, how about cloning your site to a staging? So we could just confirm if this issue is only specific to your live site.

Thanks @Ron for looking into this “weird” problem. Weird for sure !

Sure… I do not mind if the site is not live as I’m actually still working on it so would be better if it wasnt live at the moment to be honest.
(is that what you mean by cloning to a staging site ??? not 100% sure what cloning site to staging site actually means but if it means site will not be live thats fine ! )

Really appreciate your help in trying to identify the problem to find the solution.

Hello There,

Thanks for updating in! I have investigated the issue and I found out that there is a slug conflict between your Classes page and the custom slug url of the portfolio items.

Please go to X > Theme Options > Portfolio and change the “Custom URL slug” into just class.

If you need anything else we can help you with, please let us know.
