Video post not working

Hi there, I’m trying to use the video post format, but it’s not working. I’d like to be able to make a video replace the featured image on the archive page in particular, so that a video can be played directly from the archive page. I’ve selected post type: video, and placed the YouTube embed code there, but it still isn’t working. What am I doing wrong?
