I have about 20 “featured videos” and I would like to make a featured video strip (1000x300 px) alot like a photo carousel.

How do I do that?

Hey,

Post carousel is designed to only show featured images of posts regardless of their post format. So, please add featured images to your video format posts to show them in the post carousel.

Thanks and I was able to get things started. I created the posts in WP and the slider in Revolution to display them.

Two follow up questions. I’m looking to created a 1000x300 pixel strip that will be a part of my home containing featured videos.

  1. How can I display multiple posts in the strip at once. I want it to appear like photo carousel.
  2. When the thumbnail is clicked, can the video launch in a lightbox (instead of being taken to the post)

Hi there,

That’s not currently possible, you’ll have to integrate the lightbox in each item (and since video post format can have many different kinds of videos including the raw embed, that means, multiple kinds of integrations may require for it to work), I suggest to contact a developer for this kind of implementation.

You may try essential grid or rev slider’s carousel, it can be use for that purpose. Like from here https://www.themepunch.com/faq/open-video-lightbox/. I’m not 100% sure about the rev slider’s carousel, it may still require further coding.
