Christoph

Hi Christoph,

Thanks for reaching out.

I tried the https://dampferhoehle.laendle.website/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/20190416_210328-1.mp4 and it works just fine. Make sure to only use that URL for the background.

And I couldn’t find which site has this issue, another possible cause on your end is javascript error since all videos are triggered or initialized by javascript. May I know the specific URL that has this issue?

Thanks!

Hello, yes i use one specivic URL for video.
URL from page: https://dampferhoehle.laendle.website/

i have now deleted the “video Thumbnail” - but still no video
SC: https://www.screencast.com/t/44vSnNcI

it look like, that the video are not loaded if i search to the video url:

i use no caching module … so i have no idea.

i get some Java issue - any idea about this issue?

Thank you

Hi Christoph,

I assume you’re testing it with firefox, so I checked it on both Mac and Windows firefox and the site’s background video loads okay. Works okay in Chrome and Safari too.

May I know which browser version you’re testing it with? Those errors aren’t video related, the browser is just looking for files to be used for debugging once you open the console, which you shouldn’t do since our developers are the only one that can debug it.

Thanks!

Hello, i use the latest Firefox on Windows 10 64bit

66.0.3 (64-Bit)

still not shown the video ;( cracy …

thank you

Hi again,

You might be using the touch screen PC then. Please note that the background videos are disabled for touch devices and poster image is displayed instead.

It’s known issue with hybrid devices (mixed of both desktop and mobile touch features). Some features load on mobile is different from desktop. Most modern mobile and tablet devices now surpassed desktop screen resolution. Hence, it’s harder to detect if a device is a desktop or mobile since hybrid device specs are almost equal to a tablet.

The only thing that separates them now is touch feature, now they introduced it on laptop/desktop too.

Hope this helps!

Hey Christoph,

Yes that was the only reason because I too tested your site in couple of browsers with Windows 10 OS running and the background video loads perfectly fine.

Cheers!

Yes Thank you on Desktop and normal Display it works fine.

Glad we could help.

Cheers!
