Video Auto-Play when viewing from All-In-One Computer

For a few of our websites, the video on the homepage does not autoplay on All-In-One computers. It displays the mobile image instead, making us believe the website is mistaking the All-In-One computer for a mobile device (Video does Auto-Play on desktops and laptops).
Is there anyway we can get the video to autoplay even on an All-In-One computer?

Here are a couple links to websites we are having the issue with:

Thank you

Hi there,

Thanks for writing in! It’s based on the screen width it will select either video or mobile image. I’m sorry but there’s no such direct method to identify the devices it self.

Thanks!

Is there a way I could change whether it plays the video or displays the image for certain screen widths?

Hi There,

Yes, that is possible with the Hide During Breakpoints feature. It lets you create 2 or multiple sections with different content interchange base on the screen width.

But I’m afraid that is not going to solve the issue as the background video - poster image mechanism is actually base if you’re viewing the site on computer/device that is a touch-screen or not.

Video backgrounds are always going to show the poster image on touch screens. Unfortunately, there’s really no good way of detecting a mobile device and differentiating it from a hybrid device, so we have to lean on the side of caution and say that any touch screen will get the fallback image for performance and device constraint reasons.

Thanks,
