Video as static background

Hi Support!

I’m using this code:

.x-bg-layer-lower-image {
background-attachment:fixed;
}

to fix an image at the background. Please advise how to do the same with a video. Pardon my logic, I’m beginner at coding and thought that simple replacing ‘image’ with ‘video’ would do it. It won’t it seems.

Hello There,

Thanks for writing in! The background image and the video background are two different elements with different structure. You cannot make a video background as a static element. It will have issues or conflicts on other elements which is why we do not recommend modifying it. If there is a need for you change the way it works, you might need to check out this links:

Please keep in mind that modifying of the existing video background feature is beyond the scope of our support as this is not related to an issue with the theme and instead has to do with your customization of it. As such, you will need to investigate this particular issue on your own or seek help from a developer should you not feel comfortable making these changes yourself.
