Version 7.07 and 7.1.0 Cornerstone no longer loading

Hi Team,

I have two client sites where the cornerstone editor times out after the 7 upgrade.
Unfortunately I only noticed it now, as the site worked after the 7 upgrade. Only today I noticed that you can not edit e.g. the “Home” page anymore, as the editor keeps loading and loading.
Reinstalling cornerstone did not help.
Reinstalling wp core files did not help either.
The DB has no errors.
Tried to disable various plugins - no success.
Loading the editor in an incognito browser - no luck (no browser cache issue).
Version 6 of cornerstone worked.
Whatever the solution is, please let me know as I need to implement it on the second site too.

I have checked your website and found the issue you described here. It might be due to an improper update of the Cornerstone. I would suggest you updated the Cornerstone by following the below steps.

  1. Delete the existing Cornerstone.
  2. After deleting, use the link in the dashboard to automatically install the Cornerstone. It will be the latest version.

If that does not help, there might be some different reasons behind your issue. I would like to suggest troubleshooting the following common issue to help us to recognize the reason.

  1. Theme Related Issue
  2. Plugin Conflict **although you have already checked it, please check once after reinstalling the Cornerstone
  3. Theme Update related issue
  4. Child Theme Related issue
  5. CSS/JS Customization
  6. Disabling Cache
  7. Disabling CDN

If you discover that an issue is coming from a custom code or 3rd party plugin, kindly consult with a developer or contact the plugin author. Please note that we do not provide support for custom codes and 3rd party plugins.
If none of the above helps, please copy your live site to a staging server so we could troubleshoot freely without breaking your live site.
And give us access to the secure note including:

– WordPress Site URL & Login URL
– WordPress Admin username/password

We did further tests. We found the issue:
If Borlab Cookies is active, the error occurs.
We were able to identify the Script Blocker causing it.
Will talk to Borlabs!
