Various PRO issues - no dropdown, no paralax, no fade ins working in browser- works on phone

Site - www.mariomadridlawfirm.com
Staging site - www.396studios.com/mariomadridlawfirm

Hello, i had build a site for a client on my staging area

Client liked it, so I used WP Migration to take site to their server. Got all their other pages put back in, their blog in, etc, BUT, the ‘effect’ things don’t work (i only have fun things done to the home page).

PARALLAX
any image that was set to paralax, wont show up. When you open the site, I had a photo background, and a blue foreground, paralax on the background. the image disappears on the ‘live’ site. works fine on staging. Several other images i had set to paralax just dont show up. Leaving this ‘broken’ for one day, hopefully you guys can see it before client bitches

FADE IN’s
None of the fade-ins work… they just wont show up at all. If i turn FADE IN off, then they show up just fine.

DROP DOWN MENU
the drop down menu wont drop down. (yes the bar container is set to off) and it works on staging site.

so now the really weird part.
I tried to test this in Google Chrome, figured maybe browser issue, Open Edge, same thing. So for the hell of it, I open my Android phone (Galaxy s9+) and hold in landscape mode. paralax works, fade ins work, drop down menus work…

I go back and check all the ‘customize’ sections, they are all set to show on all devices. plus, i made a few duplicate items, and set one to fade in, and one to not fade in… open on phone, both are there, one fades, one does not… open in browser, the item that fades is gone, the item that does not fade is there.

For some reason, anything that is “Cool” does not work in a real browser.

HELP!? I am happy to send logins etc. This makes no sense, and I can only think that I just have to uninstall PRO and reinstall it, but I dont want to lose all the work i have done setting everything up. Any help is appreciated.

Hi,

Upon checking I can see that you using cloudflare. Try to clear cloudflare cache, other plugin cache(if you have any) and your browser cache. Then check site again.

Thanks

apologies, i am unfamiliar with cloudflare, it is not a plugin that is installed. the only plugins installed are all in one wp migration and contact form 7.

so i am unsure where to go purge things from.

p[urging browser caches sounds good, but its happening on 2 browsers, and works perfectly on staging site in both browsers.

Might need a better migrating tool. Not sure if that one converts the URLS in all the locations they need to be changed in. I’d try Duplicator. Or regular mysqldump and a phpmyadmin import.

just checking, so you’re saying the WP-Migrate tool could have copied pro over in some manner that would stop EFFECTS from working?

ive used it on themeco X sites and its worked marvelous, but this is first with PRO… and it seems to work on a phone. So id imagine it has to be a tiny glitch somewhere.

Is there anyway to just reinstall pro without throwing everything away?

or is it Cloudflare (which i dont think is installed, but if it is some external site that the previous design team used, and it is somehow killing my site, im down to do some digging)

Hello There,

I have checked your domain and it seems that you are using CloudFlare. It is best that you login to your CloudFlare account and purge your site cache. For best results, please make sure that you are using the recommended CLoudFlare settings which has been explained in detailed from this link: https://xthemetips.com/using-cloudflare-rocket-loader-with-x-pro-and-x5/928/

Hope this helps. Kindly let us know.

thank you for your reply. just so i understand, where are you guys seeing cloudflare? i can find nothing in the wordpress account that has anything to do with cloudflare, or any plugins, etc. is this going to be something that is server side? (that would make sense).

sorry guys, just ignorant to how an external site is screwing with this WP install. The previous designer has completely disappeared, he had the old logins (so if there was a cloudflare account, it would be in his posession). I show nothing that is cloudflare on the install, plugins, etc… I dont care if cloudflare disappears, i just dont know what I can do to kill it.

Hello There,

We can easily tell whether you are using CloudFlare or not by checking your whois info. Please check out the secure note.

Most hosting provider offers CloudFlare integration in the CPanel. This is where you can find the settings. It would be better that you add your hosting provider about your account details. You may also ask your hosting provider how you can disable CloudFlare and tell them about the situation. Your previous developer may have created a CloudFlare account and there is no way you can log in to that account.

Please let us know how it goes.

thank you. i have access to cloudflare acct now. did the purge all cache, nothing yet (this was 6 hrs ago). going to reread the other topics and see if there was something i was supposed to change up. thanks all for help so far, hopefully i can get this finalized today.

Thanks all. once i knew what cloudflare actually was, I could follow the steps. Thank you! works great now.

Hey There,

You’re welcome! We are just glad we were able to help you out.
Thanks for letting us know that it has worked for you.

Cheers.
