My theme somehow messed up formatting, and I cannot figure out how to fix.

My developer friend says this:
“it looks like the integrity light styles are different. I’m not seeing any changes in the markup between the two versions. What I am seeing is it’s missing all the styles for order-hdr-*; on the working archive site, those are inline styles up at the top of the page around lines 42 (and others). In the live version, they’re not there.”

The old page is using “Proof Reading” page template while the current version of the page is just using the default page template.

Based on these screenshots, I can assume that you have created a custom “Proof Reading” page template. Sadly, you have added it in the parent theme and it is overwritten during the update. Any customizations should always be added to the child theme. We would highly recommend that you create a staging site. This is very useful because you can test drive any X updates in the staging area, do the customizations and troubleshooting without disrupting your live site. Once everything is perfect, you can easily and flawlessly proceed with the update on the live site. To know how to create a staging area, please check out these articles:
