Validation Connection Issues

Hello,
When I try to see the available extensions I get this message:
“Could not retrieve extensions list. For assistance, please start by reviewing our article on troubleshooting connection issues.”
When I try this:
…/wp-admin/admin.php?page=x-addons-extensions&force-check=1&x-verbose=1
I get this:

array(1) {
[0]=>
array(2) {
[“errors”]=>
array(1) {
[“http_request_failed”]=>
array(1) {
[0]=>
string(108) “cURL error 51: SSL: certificate subject name ‘theme.co’ does not match target host name ‘community.theme.co’”
}
}
[“error_data”]=>
array(0) {
}
}
}

Please, what should I do? Is this a problem that should be fixed by my hosting provider?
Tks!

Hi There,

Thanks for writing in! It looks like your Servers SSL certificate is not configured for wildcards OR it’s not been setup correctly.

You will need to ask your Web hosting provider to look into that for you.

Let us know how it goes.
Thanks!

Hi,
thanks for your quick reply.
I still don’t have SSL on this site. My host provider charges separately for SSL, which I haven’t bought yet and it takes sometime to install (I am in Brazil, I don’t know if things here are different from in the USA). Is there a way of validating the product and accessing the extensions without having the SSL certificate?
Thanks
Zelia

Hi there,

You don’t need to purchase it, your hosting is supposed to have a setup like that since cURL is server internal feature. And it’s done between your server and our server.

What you’re referring is certificates between the server and your browser. Please contact your hosting provider about it.

Thanks!

Hi!
I contacted my provided and they compared the setup of this domain with another one that I have there and that one is working properly, both with The X installed. Both have the same configuration.
Maybe it is another thing. This license was originally given to another domain some years ago (gioturra.com), and he doesn’t use this theme anymore. So I edited the domain on the list of licenses. Could this be the problem ?
Thanks for your attention.

Hello There,

Thanks for updating in! Please revoke the license and re assign it to the new domain name. Please do the following:
1] Please go to X > Overview and revoke the validation (https://s3.amazonaws.com/community-themeco/app/uploads/2016/04/17110514/Capture53.jpg).
2] Please login to your account and revoke the license.
3] After you have revoke the license, you need to re assign the license again to your site using this url: https://www.example.com/. You have to make sure that url you just assign is the same as the one you have in your settings, Settings > General > Site Address
4] Go back to X > Overview again, and insert your license code.

If nothing else is working, please give us access so that we can investigate further.

Thanks.

Hi,
I can’t revoke the first validation on the original site because the site’s owner decided he doesn’t need it anymore and canceled the host provider service. He just kept the domain. You can check that his site doesn’t exist anymore in gioturra.com. I am the developer and I bought the license. Can you revoke that for me please?

Hi There,

Please revoke just from your Apex License Page.

https://theme.co/apex/licenses

And re-assign your website.

Let us know how it goes

Hi,
I revoked the license and assigned again to the right site, but at first it did not work. I got the same error message (connection issues). Then I removed the theme and installed again. Now the validation worked. Thanks for your help and always quick reply!

Thanks for letting us know!
