Validating standalone cornerstone plugin with Envato licence

I am trying to activate a standalone cornerstone plugin I just purchased from envato. The purchase code is not working nor is any license code I happen to have sitting around which I thought I’d try. Here’s the error:

Uh oh, we couldn’t check if this license was valid. Details.

Then when you click details, an empty modal pops up with nothing helpful in it.
Please tell me how to activate the license using the envato code I have. I will include it in a secure note in a moment.

Thanks for writing in!

You will need to go to your APEX account and register the license so that it can be added into your account. After that, you will have to assign the license to your site and then continue with the validation.
