V 1.2.1 Bug with Header Builder

Prior to the release yesterday my header appeared as designed. The header has two bars. Now the spacing is incorrect and the menu which is in bar #2 now appears on top of a portion of bar #1. I have tried but can not adjust the spacing to get it to appear correctly. Please see the before and after pics.

The URL for my site is http://8f4.f2d.myftpupload.com/

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

There is apearantly a huge issue with cornerstone and the new update. Having the same issue here. Headers got all messed up and cornerstone is conflicting constantly. Let’s hope they fix it soon. I forsee a new update within the next day or two.

Thanks for the reply. I hope so.

Hi,

I confirm the same problem with headers in 1.2.1.

I just tried updating two of my sites (backed up with UpdraftPlus before updating to 1.2.1 as I don’t have staging sites for these) and see the same problem:

  • 1 x originally built in X then updated to Pro 1 and used the new Header builder on this site. Updated to Pro 1.2 and saw the issues with new content sections not rendering correctly on new pages. Seeing this issue was fixed in 1.2.1 installed. After this update the Header section overlaps the content on the page and header content is not centred, however, in the header builder it shows fine.
  • 1 x originally built in Pro 1 with left sidebar header. After updating to 1.2.1 the sidebar became truncated even though, as above, the Header Builder shows the site as normal.

Needless to say, I restored these to 1.2.0 from the backup.

I have another two development sites where I have only implemented the Header builder and a home page, these seem to be unaffected by the update.

Thanks, for the information.

Hello @mark2inspect

Thanks for writing in and we’re sorry about this issue. I believe that the issue you’re facing is due to a regression from the previous release that we were able to uncover based on the feedback of some other users. After looking at your site, it appears to follow the same pattern, where certain styles from multiple bars were erroneously getting combined together. Upon updating, you should see everything appear as it should as dynamic styles are flushed and regenerated when performing an update. Make sure all caching is off to ensure you’re seeing the latest styles when this happens. If you are still running into an issue, a save of the settings and a refresh should do it (but I don’t believe you’ll need to as things should be reset as mentioned previously).

This will be addressed in the coming maintenance release. Thank you for your patience and understanding while we work to get that out as soon as possible.

I can also confirm this multiple header break. I need to add a second header bar to replace the primary left header bar on tablet and mobile screen sizes, but as soon as I add another header bar it breaks all the formatting.

Below are some screenshots of what I’m experiencing on one of my sites running Update 1.2.1 -

Only one header bar
This is what the site looks like with only one active header bar on the left:

Displays correctly in Header Builder:
When adding another header bar within the Header Builder everything displays correctly:

Broken front-end display:
But when viewing the front-end, all the styles and formatting is completely broken:

As soon as I remove the second top bar, the formatting and styling returns to normal again.

Hoping we can get a fix for this soon as this site in currently not working on smaller screen sizes at all.

Hello @Glasseye,

Could you please update to the latest versions?
Our latest versions are:

  • Pro theme 1.2.3

This latest release contains fixes for several issues so be sure to check out the changelog (http://theme.co/changelog/).

After doing the updates, always remember to clear all caches (if you are using WP Rocket, WP SuperCache or W3 Total Cache) when updating so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors.

Please let us know how it goes.

Good day Support,

I did the update to version 1.2.3 and I can gladly report that the multiple header conflicts have been resolved.

Many thanks for your efforts and for the timely response.

Best regards,

Glad that the issue is resolved
