Using dynamic content in more places: e.g. colour pickers and custom CSS

Hi there,

I would like to request a feature / extension of the DC tool available to us currently. As it’s not yet possible to use data attributes as CSS style values (for things like color, pixel values, etc) it would be wonderful to be able to access the Dynamic Content tool from within an element’s (or a page’s) custom CSS. As my specific use case is just for setting a background colour based on ACF data, this could equally be solved by allowing the use of DC in more places, e.g. colour pickers, and other value pickers / setters.

I figure there would be a space constraint on a lot of fields (as size value fields are often half-col width) but perhaps this could be accessed via a right-click context menu?

Maybe it’s a bit of a niche request, but with the upcoming Layout Builder, being able to customise styling of the individual loop elements based on more complex custom fields would be very powerful.

Thanks!

Hi @arthurodb,

Thanks for reaching out.
Thanks for your valuable suggestions. We will make a feature request so it might be taken into consideration in the future.

Thanks
