Using Cornerstone Header, Footer and column Setup as WP Page Template

Hello,

I hope i am not just being blind, but i really couldn’t find the answer online or in the forums.

I have build a site with Pro, using the Headers and footers inside cornerstone and defining those to be used on all pages which works great. For static Pages I also have setup a template Block to manage the width of the actual content through Columns, works a charm.

Now i am implementing a glossar tool (CM Tooltip) and an Event Manager, and I would like to use the same Header / Footer & Width setup via Columns on the event pages for Event manager and archives for the CM Tooltip. So I figured the cleanest way would be to setup a WP Page template with those elements and then use that for all the above stated purposes, can this be done without too much PHP hacking?

Or is there a better way? I am happy to pay for a few manhours if its easier for you guys to pop in and do the deed.

A Page example what it should look like (header/footer/column framework)

Example of Event Page, the content would be alright / can be layed out the way i want it with a template inside Event Manager, just need it inside the Header /Footer /Column Framework as the page above

Hope it is clear what i Need and I am not asking something impossible / RTFM type question.

Best Regards and thanks in advance

Stefan

Hi there,

Thanks for posting in.

You mean assigning a footer and header to other custom post types and archive? It could be possible for custom post types but not yet for archive pages. And as far as I know, event manager uses archives template (and custom templates which will require further coding). But, you can simply assign your header and footer globally and it will be assigned to all archives including the event manager.

Unfortunately, I can’t really tell the complexity but once a plugin uses its own template then coding is unavoidable to integrate your preferred setup. Templates are manually called and the builder has no capability to predict of what’s being called, hence, it needs integration. Similar how woocommerce is integrated into Pro/X’s custom woocommerce templates.

There are plugins that have options for which template you can use, like either built-in or theme’s template and I’m not sure if Events Manager have similar options. I would suggest consulting it to a developer familiar with those plugins.

Thanks!

Hello Rad,

thank you for your reply, this confirms that i am not missing a simple, easy option to do this, but do actually need someone that is fluent in PHP.

Best Regards
Stefan
