Using Accordion with an Agenda Listing

Hey guys -

For an event agenda, we determined the Accordion element is really the only one that can provide the functionality illustrated (see attached img). However, the structure of this agenda (2 columns, with time on left, and expandable info on right) requires that every single agenda item be it’s own Accordion set. This has led to the page being extremely heavy on the back end - so much so that we often get red “Could not save” alerts when saving the page.

Is there some other way to accomplish this without 30+ individual Accordions?

We looked at doing a Content Area modal but it doesn’t utilize the visual content editor (only text/html is allowed), so that isn’t feasible when the content going in is already formatted. So 2nd question - is there a plan to implement the rich text editor into the modal content area for easier editing and text formatting?

The structure of accordion you are looking for need custom development. There is no such option to make the similar accordion.

Not looking for custom development work, sir.

First I asked if you knew of any other Pro elements or workarounds that provide the functionality of all the individual accordions without as much bloat. You didn’t really answer that, instead saying the Accordion can’t do what I want. I already know that, hence my question.

I then stated that I do know of a better solution with a modal content area but there is a flaw. Modal content boxes don’t offer the rich text editor, for some reason. I asked if this would be added in the near future. No response to that question.

Really sorry for the confusion!
There is no such element in pro which can do similar work as you mentioned in the screenshot.
The accordion heading doesn’t take HTML code so it too hard to make the heading two column.
You can use third-party plugins to make the similar accordion. Here is an example of plugins, but you can still check more option searching in the WordPress plugin directory.

You are right modal content area doesn’t support visual content editor, but you still write HTML code or shortcode to show content. There is no such plan to add a text editor into the modal content in near future, But certainly, our development team will look on to it.
