Use shortcode in audio player

I would like to make audio available to play and have the file be the audio from the latest post in a specific category.
I am able to do this with “The Grid” but have already assigned a skin to all the posts in that category.

Is it possible to use short code or a link that is dynamic to always show the latest podcast (thats my the category).

Using the grid, under Source tab, there’s an option to filter the post by category and also set it’s order. Please see this part of the documentation:https://theme-one.com/docs/the-grid/#source_settings. There’s also a filter option that you might want to visit: https://theme-one.com/docs/the-grid/#filter_settings

thanks but I am already using “The Grid” to display all my podcast posts and have assigned a skin to each post. So if I want to have the latest podcast automatically be available as an “audio player” type post I can’t.

So I was wondering if there is another way to display the latest podcast category post as a player?

Hello There,

The audio player will play one audio at a time. Regretfully there isn’t a feature in the theme that you can display the latest podcast category post as a playlist in an audio player. You might need to look for a 3rd party plugin in the WordPress plugins repository.
