Use native image slider as hero header

Please have a look here. Currently, the header uses a static image as it’s background. However I wish to incorporate slider images with texts using everything native. Is there a way to use the native image slider as hero header for pages?
I don’t wish to use any 3rd party slider bundled with the theme to keep the load on the website as little as possible.

Yes it is possible. Please try to create a GLOBAL BLOCK. Inside a global block, add/create a classic slider. After you have created the slider look you want, you can add this GLOBAL BLOCK inside you header.
