Urgent mobile menu issue

Hi, on this website - https://keyfactor.nl - I have now a ‘navigator modal’ for mobile screens. However, on an actual iPhone it adds a ‘navigation layered’ on the dropdown which only shows the default rounded collapsed toggle on it. Wheras in the Header builder that ‘navigation layered’ is properly edited. Please resolve this. I haven’t seen this behaviour before cause also with the collapsed navigation the Header now adds a seperate ‘navigation layered’ of ‘navigation collapsed’ element to it.

In Header builder (also notice that in Safari the ‘hamburger’ never shows in the proper dimensions): Schermafbeelding 2021-04-19 om 22.14.32

Hi @yingfuli,

It seems that you are using the older version of the theme i.e 4.3.1. Can you please update it to the latest version i.e 4.3.3 and please let us know if the issue still exists.

Hope it helps.
Thanks

Didn’t do anything unfortunately. It seems to me a rather curious issue regarding the use of navigation modules in the Header. Previously I could edit all parts of a navigation module under its own settings column. Now when selecting a navigation module it adds a separate module for the menu (in case of dropdown and modal). That’s just not right.

Edit: see image, I can’t remember this ever being the case before…

Hey Ying,

It is the new behavior of the Navigation Modal element. I have replicated the issue and I’ll list this in our issue tracker. For now, please delete the Navigation Layered and replace it with Navigation Collapsed which will not add a Toggle.

Regarding the Toggle display, I checked your site on an iPhone Safari and I couldn’t replicate. Would you mind sharing the OS and Safari versions?

Thanks.

Thanks for the workaround.

Regarding the toggle display: it does that when in editing mode. The front end of the site displays the toggle just fine. It’s not a big problem but it is a nuisance not being able to immediately see the proper dimensions.
I’ve had this issue for quite some time in Safari. It might be enhanced by the fact that my iMac is from 2013 so runs Catalina as final MacOS.

Hi @yingfuli,

My colleague already added this to our issue tracker and we don’t have any ETA. Just check the updates here from time to time.

Thank you.

My last reply was about the toggle not showing the proper dimensions when editing in the Header builder. That issue is not on your ‘issue tracker’ and will probably never be solved.
Like so, even on a site like ‘responsinator’ it shows the hamburger as just one big line:

Like I said previously, I guess it has to with my iMac being to old, only running as far macOS Catalina, though I’ve had this issue when Catalina wasn’t even out yet. You guys haven’t been able to reproduce it so I don’t expect it to be resolved.

Hi Ying,

My colleague has reported the issue which you are facing along with all other details to our development team so they can investigate every point you mentioned and fix it if anything found.

On the other hand, I would like to suggest you update the operating system to its latest to avoid any further issues.

Thanks for understanding.

Well, if you could fund me I’d gladly buy the new iMac to run the latest macOS

Hello @yingfuli,

It is okay if you only have Catalina. Just make sure that your browsers are up to date. By the way, our developers are already aware of the issue. We cannot make any promises relating to a fix at this stage. I will add a note to the tracker referencing your thread.

Cheers.
