[URGENT] Global footer not showing on pages?

Hi there!

Urgent problem.

I created a set of new pages, with a [no container, no header, footer] template.

I have only one active footer, which is set to global.

For some reason, the footer does NOT SHOW on these pages??

Hi @Tristanarkesteijn,

Can you please temporarily turn off the firewall?

Our staffs come from the various coutries(Philippine, Vietnam, …).

Meanwhile, please follow the troubleshooting steps below:

  1. Ensure everything is up to date according to our version compatibility list here. Please follow the best practices when updating your theme and plugins. Click here for more information.
  2. Test for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third-party plugins, and see if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.
  3. Remove custom CSS and Javascript from the options or Child Theme and test the case.
  4. Turn off all the cache plugins.
  5. Switch to the parent theme to check if the issue persists.
  6. Reset your htaccess file by renaming it to .htaccess-bak. Then in WP Admin Menu, go to Settings > Permalinks and just click the Save Changes button.

Let us know how it goes!

I have turned it off now.

The weird thing is that my footers had all turned empty?

On the pages i linked to in the private note I had a footer which was ‘copy of copy of copy of footer’. Each time i kept the original when i made changes. The weird thing is that even the first copies and the second copies are completely gone.

It is as if someone went into my admin and deleted the containers inside.

What is even weirder is that if i go back to yesterday’s backup or even before, it is the same thing. Even though i had a fine footer this morning.

I have ruled out a plugin / CSS / JS conflict (turned everything off and didn’t change anything).

The only thing that could be is this: I have been going back and forth with Google Ads Support about a malware infection, which they claim is on my site. As you can see on virustotal.com there is NO infection, and the Sucuri malware team confirmed this.

I still keep having problems with Google Ads Support though, so what i did yesterday is the following.

I manually removed all references to old domain names from the datase and replaced them with the new one. I would normally have used Better Search / Replace plugin for this, but it missed a number of instances. So i did this manually.

But still if i go back to the backup from the day before the problem exists.

PS i am making a placeholder footer right now to see if that works

Sure thing, please let us know how it goes.

Thanks.
