Urgent: Can't update existing pages Pro 4.1

Hello Themeco Support,

We have just launched a client’s website, and there are a couple page updates that we need to deal with immediately. However, we’re currently dealing with this issue where we aren’t able to make any changes to the existing pages in Pro Editor.

  • We are able to create a new page and edit the content using X Pro with no issue.
  • We are able to place a template from an existing page to the new page and edit it with no issue.
  • We are able to edit both header and footer with X Pro with no issue.

Solutions that we’ve tried so far, but no luck:

  • Tested for plugin conflict
  • Updated to Pro 4.1 (most recent version)
  • Cleared browser and site cache
  • There is no server cache to clear

So we’re at lost here currently - we are keeping in communication with our web host, but are unsure what the issue is either. Hoping to gain some insight from the Themeco Support theme so we can better communicate the issue with our web host.

Prompt reply would be appreciated.

All the best,
FBC

It’s probably also important to add that we’re using Multisite for this specific project. The development area for it still works fine as intended, but it’s just the live site that is having this issue, on both the French and English side of the site.

We’ve also made sure that WP security settings are identical from the development area/site and the live site. Did not make any difference.

Hi @FullBlast,

I’m sorry to hear you’re having issues with pages. Would you mind sharing login credentials in a secure note so we can observe the problem first hand? Also, there is a Pro 4.1.1 point release that was published yesterday. I don’t think it will make much of a difference as nothing was changed in terms of how the pages are saved but we did improve the performance slightly of the live previews. Looking forward to being able to check the site and look for a solution to this.

Thanks Alexander, as it turns out we were in a pinch, so we ended up using NS Cloner Pro to re-clone our development area multisite to the live environment and this time it worked. In speaking with our server guys, they think something just didn’t quite take during the initial clone and admitted that cloning a multisite was a bit out of their league.

It wasn’t a permissions issue, or resource based, or plugins, etc, so still not sure what quite went wrong, but at least we’re back in business.
