Each time I try to upload my theme “The uploaded file exceeds the upload_max_filesize directive in php.ini.” pops up and my theme won’t load. When I tried to load the child themes it said I needed the parent but I cannot get past this warning
Hi there,
Thanks for writing in.
Your upload limit is too low, you have to increase it. If your site has local php.ini then add this to that file
upload_max_filesize = 40M post_max_size = 40M
Else, and you have .htaccess file then add this
php_value upload_max_filesize 40M php_value post_max_size 40M
Else, you have to contact your hosting provider and let them configure it for you. Some hosting doesn’t allow configuration so they must do it.
Once done, please install the theme again.
Hope this helps
