Updating X or Cornerstone Inserts Unexpected Example Site Content

This issue has occurred after I recently updated Cornerstone from 3.2.5 to 3.3.6 and X from 6.2.5 to 6.3.6. On multiple site pages additional example content has been inserted (that I didn’t add myself). I’ve attached two images as an example.

This happens on all site pages and has happened on multiple sites. Here’s one page it’s present on: https://www.simplestockmodel.com/how-to-use

The content doesn’t appear on the live pages but appears when I try to edit the pages with Cornerstone. I have to manually remove each element before saving the page (so that the example content doesn’t appear on the live version)

Hello Adam,

Thanks for asking.

I logged into the website and can see the issue as shown in screenshot. Please try out following solutions and let us know the outcome:

  1. Test for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third-party plugins, and see if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.
  2. Remove custom CSS and Javascript from the options or Child Theme and test the case.
  3. If you’re using a CDN, please clear the CDN’s cache and disable optimization services.

In case problem is still there, please give us the permission for us to take a closer look. While we test, website may have some temporary layout issues.

Thanks.
