Updating of X brakes the design, how to update correctly?

Hi Support!

When updating installed version of X 4.6.4 to 5.2.3. My design of the site will be destroyed in a section where I have a skewed section. Tried to look at a solution vi subtle css changes but it was hard to understand what the problem is. Used alot skew-box, moz-transform, o-tranform in the sections that gets broken. The “lightsaber” bar was showed before as a skewed bar across the page under the rev slider.

Cornerstone 1.3.3 running in the old site and it displays in cornerstone as a bit skewed as it is supposed and works in the browser. After updating X it also displays unskewed in cornerstone and see pic for how it displays in browser.

Any ideas on how to solve? Should I update cornerstone also? Not eager to update some other sites with these kind of problems coming up…

Hi there,

Thanks for writing in.

Yes, when you update your theme then you must update your cornerstone too. Else, it will not work.

And since you’re jumping from stable 4.6.4 to a major version of 5.2.3, then it’s best to clone your live site and do the update and fixes there, it should be always done in staging especially for new features that aren’t available in older one.

Once you have staging then we’ll check the issue you’re having

Thanks!
